Five for Friday!

Woohooo!  It's the weekend!  So ready to get to sleep in.  That's what I really miss, and not being able to stay up as late as I'd like.  But, I am proud to say that I have only fallen asleep once on the couch this week. LOL!
So this week, was amazing!  I am so proud of my littles.  I am still trying to figure out the combo thing, but we'll get there.  So here are some things that stood out to me this week.

My little cutie started 4th grade!  Sigh, I remember looking at the fourth graders at my school and thinking they were so big, and old!  And here I am with my own 4th grader!  Amazing how time flies!
I am trying to figure out how I'm going to teach math with my 8 second graders. My first attempt was a lesson on the carpet and then they got to grab a clipboard and complete it.  I also let them lie on their tummy's!  Hey, second grade has it's benefits, right?  They loved it, and it went great!

Morning work is another area that is a bit tricky for me.  I don't want to give my second graders anything that is too easy.  Enter my Sight word color by words pages.  I made a first and second grade version, that way they can both be done at the same time but differentiated for the two grades.  I was very proud of me, LOL!
Click here for the second grade version and here for the first grade version.

And these little iphones!  I love them.  I of course, first saw them on IG from a fellow teacher.  I ran out to Wally's and grabbed some.  I decided to glue their picture on and laminate them.  They will go right next to their work on our writing wall.

And last, but not least.  My Alex and Ani bracelets.  I have hemmed and hawed over which ones to get, and I finally decided on these 3.  Aren't they gorgeous?  I have to admit, I ordered the apple one and it's on its way to me right now!
That's it!  We have soccer ceason starting tomorrow and I am really excited!  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Your daughter is ADORABLE! Love the I-Phones too! Thanks for sharing your sight word pages. Perfect for the combo. I know it can be tricky. Last year the teachers across the hallway from me were 1-2 combos. They got into a groove at about November time. Hang in there!
