Open House

Hey teacher friends!

   I can't believe that it has been months since I last posted.  Hopefully that is about to change!  I will finally be able to get some things off of my to do list after this week!  We have a school visit this week, Open House, and then finally, Spring Break!  Ahhhhhhh...can't wait!

  As I was getting my class portfolios together, I thought I would spiffy them up a bit.  Well, one thing led to another and I put together a set to sell on TPT!  yay me!  Here is what it looks like.

It is a portfolio put together that represents the entire school year.  Now, we are not done with the year, so I either keep it for them and let them take it home at the end, or just send it home and let the parents “fill” it.

As I was putting this together, I thought it would be good to add grades k-3.  They look like the cover, only with the corresponding grade written.  Also, there are boy and girl superheros.

Stuffed with Thankful Thoughts

Hey there!  Today I thought I would take part in the

Fun right?  Well here are a few of the things I am thankful for…

This little girl is my heart.  I am lucky that she calls me momma.  I love her to pieces.  Still can’t believe that she is 8.

Good times with my girl.  Our evenings are busy.  I am always correcting, creating, or trying to get organized for the next school day as well as trying to create fun times with Alyson.  This photo captures one day this week when she insisted on a game of headbands.  What a great choice.

My little photography business.  It has blessed me in so many ways.  Capturing memories for families, is completely awesome. (Click the photo to take a look).

My blog.  I have blogged over here for over 5 years.  (Not all posts are there).  And I love that I can glance back to see what we were doing at any given time of year.

And of course, ALL the teacher blogs out there.  They have inspired me in many ways.  Thank YOU!

The Three Pigs

  Hey there!  I am glad to see I have some new followers and so many have enjoyed my freebie.  I finally finished my Three Pigs Unit.  Every year we use this story along with our unit on Homes and Family.  I have struggled for years trying to find some meaningful activities to do with the kiddos.  So, I created some!  Eventually, I hope to add to this unit, so make sure to follow my store so I can send you updates.

A Freebie for YOU!

  Hey there!  I know I am sporadic posting here, but the truth is, I can’t do everything.  But I always try.  Isn’t that always the way with teachers?  Well, last month I added my own Question of the Day packet to TPT.  I did not originally think of this idea. I piggy-backed off of First Grade Blue Skies QOTD packet.  As I grew more familiar with it, I found that I would add my own seasonal QOTD, and eventually, it just worked itself into a packet. 

Since I am quite late with November, I thought that I would give this one as a freebie.  They are made in no particular order, you can decide what’s best for your class.

October Question of the Day

 

Happy weekend!  This weekend has FLOWN by.  I have had 2 photoshoots (1 more to go), and little time for myself.  But I’ll take it!  I did create this October word of the day packet.  I have been using First Grade Blue Skies packet for 2 years now, and I LOVE it!  My kiddos do too!  You may remember my question of the day door?  If not, here it is again, your welcome.

Recently, I have been adding my questions in to go with the month.  It was really nothing fancy, I would write it on a paper and slip it in.  Well.  I decided to finally type some up to save myself some time.
